Ingredients

  • 500g chicken (legs or boneless pieces)
  • 3 tbsp curd (yogurt)
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • ½ tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Salt as per taste

Step 1: Prep the Chicken

  • Wash and pat dry
  • Make small cuts (so masala goes inside)




Step 2: Make Marinade
  • Mix everything: Curd + spices + ginger-garlic paste + lemon juice + oil + salt
  • Coat chicken well with this mixture

Step 3: Marinate
  • Minimum: 30 minutes
  • Best: 4–8 hours (for authentic taste) 




Step 4: Air Fry
  • Preheat air fryer to 180°C
  • Place chicken in basket (don’t overcrowd)
  • Cook 15 minutes
  • Flip + brush little oil
  • Cook another 10–12 minutes at 200°C

Step 5: Serve
  • Sprinkle chaat masala
  • Add onion rings + lemon wedges
  • Optional: mint chutney

Tips 
  • Use hung curd for thicker coating
  • Add a pinch of kasuri methi for restaurant flavor
